Pelvic Adhesions

Pelvic adhesions can cause infertility by blocking ovum pick up by the fallopian tubes; such adhesions can causer pelvic pain because of abnormal attachments between normally mobile tissues and organs. Adhesions can form as a result of prior infection or instrumentation. Fertility surgeons use various techniques to reduce the liklihood of adhesions following a surgical procedure.
